在英文寫作裏，連接詞（Conjunctions）如同建築的鋼筋。能善用連接詞，能讓文章前後呼應、脈絡清晰。對於目標是在 DSE 或呈分試奪星的同學來說，掌握這些連接詞全攻略邏輯工具是實現「高質量輸出」的關鍵。

連接詞主要分為三大類型：

對等連接詞：and, but, or, nor, for, so, yet
相關連結詞：either… or, neither… nor, both … and
從屬連結詞：after, because, if, as though, in order that

連接詞	意思	用法	重寫例句
Nevertheless	儘管如此	句首或中段	The DSE syllabus is challenging; nevertheless, many students strive for excellence.
On the contrary	恰恰相反	句子中段	He is not a lazy student; on the contrary, he is the most hardworking boy in class.
However	然而	句首或中段	We prepared well for the exam; however, the questions were unexpectedly difficult.
But	但是	句首或中段	The tuition fee is higher but the teaching quality is much better.
Although	雖然	句首或中段	I will not give up although the path to success is full of obstacles.

💡 筆者小貼士：在正式寫作裏，Although 和 But 絕對不能出現在同一個複句中。

2. 先後、層次（段落）

用途：用於闡述論點，使文章架構鮮明，讀者易於閱讀。

連接詞	意思	用法	重寫例句
First, … Second, …	第一，… 第二，…	每段或議點首句	There are two benefits of small-class teaching. First, teachers can provide instant feedback. Second, students stay focused.
On one hand, … On the other hand, …	一方面，… 另一方面，…	分別闡述兩個論點	On one hand, AI saves time. On the other hand, it may hinder critical thinking.

3. 層遞（句子結構）

用途：用於說明兩者以上的共通點，顯現層層遞進的表達方式。

連接詞	意思	用法	重寫例句
Moreover	此外、而且	句首或中間	She has mastered grammar. Moreover, her vocabulary is exceptionally wide.
Besides	此外	句首或中段	The workshop is free, and besides, it provides valuable exam techniques.
In addition	此外	句首	He is a top student. In addition, he is a talented leader in the student union.
Then	另外	句首或中段	The logic is sound, but then so is the evidence provided by the teacher.
Furthermore	而且、再者	句首或中段	Furthermore, the school decided to extend the library opening hours.

4. 並列

用途：說明兩者或以上地位一樣的事物。

連接詞	意思	用法	重寫例句
And	及、和	句子中間	Diligence and persistence are the keys to academic success.
Either… or…	要麼…要麼…	二擇其一	You can either choose Chinese Chess or International Draughts as your hobby.
Both… and…	…和…	兩者皆是	Both Miss Cathy and Miss Lam are dedicated to helping students.
…as well as…	以及	句子中間	She enjoys reading English novels as well as writing short stories.

5. 強調

用途：令論點更鮮明，突出敘述主體。

Obviously	明顯地	句首或中段	Obviously, we cannot ignore the importance of logical thinking.
Apparently	顯然地	句首或中段	He was apparently satisfied with his remarkable improvement in English.
In fact	事實上	常置於句首	In fact, no student can master a language without consistent practice.
Undoubtedly	毫無疑問	句首或中段	Undoubtedly, a 1:4 teacher-student ratio leads to better results.

6. 因果

用途：指出兩者當中的推演邏輯。

連接詞	意思	用法	重寫例句
Due to	由於	句中或句首	His great performance was due to his effective study methods.
Hence	因此	句首或中段	The deadline is approaching, and hence we must work faster.
Because	因為	句首或中段	Don’t choose a tutor just because the price is low.
Therefore	所以	句首或中段	She analyzed the exam trend; therefore, she achieved a high score.

7. 比較

用途：指出兩者一致或相似的地方。

Equally	同樣地	句首、中段或句末	In our classroom, every student is treated equally.
Like	像…一樣	句首或中段	She solved the complex math problem like a professional.
Similarly	相似地	句首或中段	My parents were similarly impressed by the teaching quality here.
In comparison with	與…相比	句首或中段	He is more confident in comparison with his peers.

8. 對比

用途：說明兩者的相異之處。

9. 總結

用途：歸納上文，並作出結論。
